Starting off a blog on administrative & creative tips, I thought a good jumping point would be to share a review of one of my favourite tools for managing projects, preventing overwhelm and staying organized throughout the week.


We have all been there. You know something has to get done but can't find the note with all the details you need to take action, you have a list in front of you that's so long you have no clue where to start or your receiving way too many emails from your team members trying to keep in touch on the many details of an ongoing project. Enter Trello:


Created by Atlassian, Trello is a versatile software designed for efficient task tracking and project management. It is a customizable and intuitive program, that lets you add and organize tasks with digital "cards". I love that it has a super-clean look, is easy to use and is flexibly designed so that you can customize to whatever your current project/workflow looks like.


My favourite feature is that you can add and view all of your boards from both your desktop and phone. This prevents me from making the ever-too-common "I wrote that number down on a piece of paper somewhere (in my phone notes? emailed myself? texted myself?)" and ensures tasks don't get dropped or forgotten about during a busy day!


You can add detailed descriptions, attachments, due dates, and labels to enhance your organization and clarity (it has a "sort by due date" function that I love). If you work in a team, you can assign of tasks to team members, and add comments to each card to ensure everyone is up to date on the task. They also have a great library of board templates that can be accessed (from "Better Work Habits Challenge" to "Lead Management Pipelines") which showcases just how versatile Trello actually is.
